Successful procurement management is based on sound development, evaluation and implementation of procurement management principles.
The purpose of this programme is to develop graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to analyse, interpret, understand and apply procurement management principles, processes and procedures. The programme will provide a range of knowledge and competencies in fields such as business communications for procurement managers,digital literacy systems and financial management as well as general management skills and procurement principles. Work-directed, problem-based and project-based work integrated learning, will enable a learner to gain work related experience and apply their knowledge and skills in the workplace.
One year and a maximum of three years
National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Higher Certificate endorsement plus English (1st or additional) 40% (E) Senior Certificate English SG D symbol or HG E symbol National Certificate Vocational (NCV) with English 40% National Certificate NQF Level 5 Supply Chain Management or relevant qualification (120 credits, SAQA listed programme) Please note: Prospective students over 23 years of age who do not meet the minimum requirements could apply to the Registrar for possible admission through Recognition of Prior Learning OR gain approval to complete the OLG Higher Education Access Modules.
