In an outcomes-based system, the moderator is the ultimate champion of fairness. This course is designed to turn experienced assessors into expert moderators who can oversee both internal and external quality assurance processes. You will learn to navigate the complexities of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), ensuring that assessment instruments are robust and that assessor decisions are reliable, valid, and free from bias.

You won’t just be “checking homework”—you will be advising and supporting fellow assessors, refining institutional systems, and ensuring that redress targets (race, gender, and disability) are authentically met in every assessment you touch.

Who Should Attend?

This program is designed for seasoned professionals in the Education, Training, and Development (ETD) and Human Resource Development fields. It is essential for:

Experienced Assessors ready to step into quality management roles. Training Managers overseeing institutional quality assurance. Compliance Officers working with SETAs or other ETQAs. Independent Consultants wishing to offer external moderation services.
