Completing this programme will enable learners to make decisions and improve performance around freight handling administration, planning, goods handling, storage, transport planning, and basic freight handling equipment maintenance.
This programme will enable the learner to effectively operate within the freight handling environment.The skills required in the handling of freight are dependent upon the knowledgeable learner who is able to comply with the relevant procedures and apply the necessary skills to their working environment.

  • Customer requirements and most effective business solutions
  • Separation and packaging techniques and materials
  • Handle, stockpile and pack freight
  • Appropriate routing for consignments

Admission Requirements
It is assumed that learners accessing this programme are competent in Communication at NQF Level 2 and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 2.
