This programme is developed to prepare a learner to operate as a Clearing and Forwarding Agent. A Clearing and Forwarding Agent carries out customs clearing procedures and ensures that insurance, export/import licences, and other formalities are to facilitate the movement of cargo internationally and locally and ensures compliance with current legislation.

What can learners expect?

  • Learners can expect to complete portfolios of evidence based on the knowledge and practical components of the programme.
  • Thereafter, they complete a logbook while performing certain activities in the workplace.
  • Once learners receive a Statement of Results, they will gain entry to be assessed on the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA).
Admission Requirements
Prospective learners should be competent in:
• NQF Level 4 qualification with Mathematical Literacy

OLG Learnerships are presented through contact sessions which consist of formal training and workplace activities.
