Entry Requirements

To ensure your success in this Level 4 programme, learners should have:

  • Mathematics/Numeracy skills at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Language/Communication skills at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): If you have extensive industry experience, you may be eligible for credits through our integrated RPL assessment process.

Assessment & Certification

Your competence will be verified through a practical and credible evaluation process:

  • Formative & Summative Assessments: Evaluations are conducted per unit standard and include written tests, case studies, and role-plays.
  • Portfolio of Evidence (PoE): You will compile a portfolio that includes journals, logbooks, and confirmation of your skills from employers or peers.
  • Workplace Validation: A registered assessor will confirm your “applied competence” – your ability to actually do the job in a real-world transport environment.
  • National Recognition: Successful learners will be awarded the FET Certificate: Road Transport Supervision (NQF 4).
